Chalice

The chalice is a sacred cup-shaped vase used to hold wine, symbolizing the blood of Christ, during mass. This piece of silverware is often decorated with patterns or stone insertions.

Goldsmithing is the work of craftspeople who make objects of adornment, such as jewelry or decoration, in precious metals (gold, silver, pewter, etc.). In the province of Quebec, each church must have all the necessary items to celebrate mass and other ceremonies. Goldsmiths make large quantities of religious objects to meet this demand, and these pieces are precious to the churches and their parishioners.
